Grumeti River Camp lies along the banks of the river and hippo pools. Safari guests at Grumeti can enjoy flamboyant tents under thatch. The vibrancy of kente cloth and local sculptured furnishings, bring the excitement and romance of Africa to life. The ragged thatch canopy lends coolness and solidity to these fantastical safari tents whilst still affording the thrill of the tented safari after retiring at the end of a starlit banquet, where stories were shared of the day’s game sightings and guests’ wide-eyed experience of the exhilaration of wild Africa. The domed bar is perfect for sundowners overlooking the river. A secluded sheltered boma ensures star studded romantic dinners. The camp also has a swimming pool and leisure deck – both perched on the banks of the river where guests can view abundant pools of hippo at play. A curio shop and gallery is located near to the reception area.
